This is a project that a friend and I did in March of 2007. The assignment was to create something that might be in the 1950s, and so we did a "legomation" version (shortened somewhat) of the infamous "Duck and Cover" video from 1952, in which Bert the Turtle told kids to "duck and cover" to avoid vaporization from a thermonuclear device. :) Footage (excluding the first nuclear blast footage) is all shot from a Panasonic digital camera, made into video through GraphicConverter at 8 fps, and then edited (and sound added) in iMovie. It is HIGHLY recommeneded that you watch the original first.

Renewable Power and Alternative energy Advantages and Disadvantages

Renewable power is the centerpiece of eco-energy planning. Yet all renewable power sources are not created equal and some are far more sustainable in the long term than others. We will gawk the available types of renewable power considering the advantages and disadvantage as we go.

However are we all clear about the difference, such as it is in the middle of renewable power and alternative energy. Alternative power is all power sources other than carbonaceous sources, whereas renewable power is power that is replaced almost as quickly as it is used by being part of the natural carbon cycle of the earth. Renewable fuels yield carbon dioxide but since the renewable source is all the time being replenished the power use is merely interceding in the natural cycle.

Nuclear Power

Alternative power sources encompasses all the renewable sources but also nuclear, and for example, power from municipal solid waste (Msw) which - due to its source may not be strictly a renewable source. And new types such as hydrogen power from new power conversion process

An example of a renewable fuel is wood which is renewed by the re-growing of the forest from which the tree was felled. Another prime example of this type of power is solar power. Many governments are setting out to increase the use of renewable power. The addition use of renewable power is, for example, an integral part of the United Kingdom Government's longer-term aim of reducing Co2 emissions by 60% by 2050. In 2000 the Government set a target of 10% of electricity provide from renewable power by 2010, and in 2006 that nation announced our aspiration to double that level by 2020.

Renewable power is produced from sources that are replenished as they are used, such as the wind, water flowing in streams, rivers and seas, the sun and sustainably grown crops. In order to harness these sources and reduce our dependency on finite reserves of oil, coal and gas, renewable power professionals need to understand the scientific ideas of renewable power technology and have the supervision skills to ensure that Uk and international carbon emission allowance targets are met.

All alternative power is best derived from inexhaustible sources such as wind, the sun, sea, or replaceable sources such as waste products and crops. Using sources of renewable power should be viewed as a long-term method to tackle climate change, and will play an increasingly prominent part in helping reduce carbon emissions by 2050.

However, before we get verily excited about the potential for renewable sources of power. Renewable power is not all it's made out to be, it's not that cheap compared to accepted fossil fuel generating plants. Also, the production of adequate renewable power is also very hard to achieve rapidly. In comparison to a large fossil fuel power middle point oil, natural gas or coal each renewable power plant is verily tiny. verily thousands of large wind turbines, for example, are needed to replace just one coal, gas or oil fired power station.

The only real alternative to fossil fuels which is a well tested and mature technology, and can be built verily quickly is nuclear energy.

Nuclear power should be thought about "clean" and "green" when compared with fossil fuels. The carbon dioxide emissions from a nuclear plant are mostly during its construction, and are very low compared with fossil fuel sources. So, it is an alternative power capable of reducing global waming effects if advanced in a big way in the next few years.

The Dangers of Radiation Exposure

Radiation is a simply occurring form of energy that occurs in sunlight and sound waves. However, mankind has harnessed this power through nuclear materials, such as uranium, plutonium, and thorium. These materials can be utilized for weapons, electricity production, and medical devices. While radioactive materials have helped added things like clean energy and medical diagnostics, exposure to the radiation can cause serious damage to your health.

First, everybody experiences small doses of radiation throughout their lives. This is called background radiation. It comes from small amounts of radioactive materials in rocks and dirt, and it can also come from cosmic radiation. Additionally, most people at some point receive medical medicine that involves radiation, such as taking an x-ray. Over time, this low-intensity exposure is mostly harmless although it can growth your chance of developing cancer.

Nuclear Weapons

The frightening type of radiation exposure comes from a short-term, intense dose that causes radiation poisoning or sickness. This typically occurs due to radiation accidents. There are any distinct types of jobs that involve radiation and are therefore at risk for radiation poisoning, including:

Mining or handling nuclear materials Working in a nuclear power plant Testing or working with nuclear weapons Nuclear pharmacists X-ray technicians Doctors who achieve radiation cancer treatment, vascular embolization, etc.

If something goes wrong, like if the radioactive materials spill in a nuclear pharmacy, the pharmacists can be exposed to a high dose of radiation. This can cause radiation poisoning. Although there are any symptoms of this condition, they may only appear much later after the accident. Immediate signs of exposure include:

Red, painful skin burns Welts or ulcers where the skin touched the radioactive material Nausea Diarrhea Hair loss Organ failure

Radiation sickness medicine depends on the extent of your exposure. Doctors must try to take off external contamination, such as radioactive particles on your clothing, as well as nuclear materials inside of your body. Sadly, there is no cure for radiation poisoning, and doctors attempt, instead, to fight the complications arising from the sickness, such as loss of bone marrow, increased risk of infection, etc.

The United States ended World War Ii by using the most horrific weapon in the history of warfare--the atomic bomb--on the Japanese civilian population. This doomsday weapon had been industrialized in total secrecy as part of a weighty research program employing a small army of world-class scientists. After the war, the United States scrambled through the rubble and chaos to decide what expand its enemies had made in their underground weapons amelioration programs. It turned out that the Germans' atom bomb attempt was primitive compared to the Manhattan Project. However, the Germans and the Japanese had made expand in other areas - and we were obsessed over seeing out just how much.

Two of the "weapons'' we sought facts on had nothing to do with the former field of battle, but their ramifications would be enormous. The Manhattan task infrastructure itself was employed in this regard.[v] Under this umbrella, the U.S. Hoped to double its success in creating devastating weapons by perfecting the mind-control technology industrialized by the Germans[vi] and the biological warfare technology industrialized and tested by the Japanese.

The postwar attempt to institute novel weapons was substantially different, however, from that which produced a super-bomb capable of leveling an entire city. Instead of using physics and chemistry to harness the basal troops of nature, these new weapons would exploit the fields of science of mind and biology to manipulate the basal processes required for mental[vii] and physical health in humans. By unlocking the keys to the brain and the body, the United States would be able to induce diseases at will for psychological or biological warfare. These weapons ultimately had the possible to be more devastating than the atom bomb since they could not only operate both mental and physical health on an unprecedented scale but, more importantly, could be tested and used in complete secrecy.

To refine the weapons industrialized by its enemies in Wwii, the Central intelligence division launched an weighty program of clandestine research and international experimentation on human subjects. By covertly leveraging the U.S. Healing infrastructure, the Cia was able to orchestrate this experimentation under the pretense of legitimate research by doctors who often didn't perceive the sinister ends to which their research would be used.[viii]

The first mind-control research was conducted toward nominally noble ends--even if the means to perform them were abominable. Like their counterparts in other fields, the nation's elite psychologists and psychiatrists attempted to originate human diseases on-demand so that cures could be tested under laboratory conditions. For example, research geared toward selectively inducing hypnotic amnesia and drug-induced schizophrenic states would contribute doctors with a way of testing theories on the causes of neurosis and mental illness. Healing research with biological agents had similarly stated goals. Human experiments with "anticancer viruses" such as West Nile Virus and with "cancer transplants" in subjects with impaired immune systems would allow scientists to test their theories of how the immune system controlled the increase of diseases. Such facts would help in manipulating the human immune system toward the amelioration of cancer vaccines.

But of course these experiments toward inducing laboratory models of mental and physical diseases were not conducted purely for Healing purposes. Much of this research was conducted for psychological and biological warfare applications, and even then under the pretext of developing defensive measures against enemy use of such technology. For example, learning how to destroy memory and manipulate personality through stress, drugs and hypnosis might allow researchers to counteract these processes and "inoculate" their men against enemy use of such techniques in hostile interrogations. (Ted Kaczynski, the "Unabomber," was the victim of exactly this type of research as a learner at Harvard.) Likewise, knowledge of how immunity could be destroyed by chemicals and viruses to cause disease would contribute clues important to counteract these processes in the amelioration of vaccines. Such vaccines would allow the government to inoculate its own troops against bioweapons used by national safety threats.[ix]

Toward even more sinister ends, this research also provided an obnoxious capability. Supposedly defensive mind-control research[x] would give the Cia the quality to originate agents and operatives who would carry out their assignments in the midst of danger without risk of their becoming safety threats.[xi] through mental conditioning and the creation of synthetic, multiple personalities, interrogation-proof double agents could be produced who would not only safely transfer facts as human couriers (to a friendly hypnotist) but obediently commit acts such as assassinations that were contrary to their personal morality and safety. Agents with enhanced or selectively depleted memories could even be sent into the field to perform tasks they would have no known recollection of completing.[xii]

Work on vaccines had dual uses as well. By developing the technology to selectively deplete the immune system, researchers could institute an insight of how immune system defects caused disease. This facts could then be used to counteract such processes and selectively enhance the immune system in the form of vaccines.[xiii] But the quality to controllably destroy the immune system was in itself a biological weapon that could be used as part of an obnoxious capability.[xiv] And these obnoxious and defensive tools could be used synergistically. Defensive vaccines could be industrialized that would allow U.S. troops to be inoculated against obnoxious bioweapons to be used on enemy forces.[xv]

Theory is one thing, implementation quite another. Has the U.S. Government, through its agencies, transformed "could" and "would" into "can" and "will"? Did it precisely bring research in psychological and biological warfare to the next level? Years of study have convinced me that this has happened and is happening to this very day. Consider:

* The technology industrialized to operate the immune system--selectively depleting immune cells with viruses in animal cancer-transplant experiments--was exploited to induce the epidemic of Aids and cancer in humans. This latter epidemic is highly beneficial for fulfilling the goals of both the cancer vaccine research and national safety establishments, the two fields that worked synergistically to originate Aids viruses grown in human cells just prior to the Hiv epidemic. My book Aids: The "Perfect" Disease explains how such biological warfare agents were not only created under the pretext of cancer research but unleashed under the pretext of an international cancer experiment.[xvi] In this way, the United States echoed the wartime international biological warfare exercises conducted by the Japanese researchers it recruited following Wwii using immunosuppressive viruses it perfected through decades of cancer experiments in animals.[xvii]

* Nazi mind-control techniques were covertly perfected by U.S. intelligence agencies after decades of research on hundreds of victims,[xviii] ultimately yielding the quality to operate the human mind to originate "programmed" provocateurs, double agents and "involuntary assassins." according to declassified government documents published by the New York Times, such agents would carry out actions "even against such basal laws of nature as self-preservation." The most egregious crime from these creations was the programming of the assassin used to murder President John F. Kennedy. * Mind-control experimentation is also an enabling technology to enunciate a population of human guinea pigs for biological experimentation. The use of Aids within this framework of experimentation is an fabulous car to continue the long-running eugenics program to originate a expert race overseen by American corporations in Nazi Germany. A few weeks later a major smallpox epidemic broke out in the American ranks, affecting about half of the 10,000 soldiers. They retreated in chaos after burying their dead in mass graves."

[xviii] The Scotland Sunday Times reported the activities of an internationally respected Canadian physician recruited by the Cia: "Doctor Ewan Cameron, who became one of the world's important psychiatrists, industrialized techniques used by Nazi scientists to wipe out the existing personalities of population in his care." Under Cameron's "care," patients were kept on Lsd for months at a time so they could be brainwashed. according to the Times, "Patients were woken from drug-induced stupors two or three times a day for multiple galvanic shocks. In a specially designed 'sleep room' ...Cameron located a speaker under the patient's pillow and relayed negative messages for 16 hours a day." One of Cameron's victims was Gail Kastner, who after 50 years, has ultimately gotten her lawsuit appealed in the Canadian courts. according to the Times, "Kastner was a 19-year-old honors learner suffering from mild depression when she first underwent 'treatment' in 1953. On returning home she sucked her thumb, demanded to be fed from a bottle, talked in a baby voice and urinated on the floor." Solar power for your home is an increasingly interesting alternative to original forms of energy, be they grid electricity or burning fossil fuels in the home. There are a amount of reasons for this. There are the economic realities of energy production now and in the future. There is the ethical issue of using a non-renewable energy source and a moral issue with regards to the damage that fossil fuels do to the environment. This description will cover some of these issues and cover how solar power for the home addresses some of these issues.

Grid electricity and the use of fossil fuels costs money and this will only go up as the resources that power grid electricity get harder to find. In California, it is estimated that it is cheaper to make solar electricity than it is to use the grid variety. This is hitting population in their communal wallets and purses and causing a quest for alternatives. Again in California, there are many incentives to install solar panel into homes. There are even incentives for building companies to pre-install solar panels in homes.

Nuclear Power

This seems to make a lot of sense. The major advantage of solar power, after introductory cost and installation, is that the power that is created is free provided the Sun keeps on shining. The cost to buy and install solar panels is now not so expensive and the incentives and rebates make it more attractive. It also seems that over time the cost of solar power can only go down. End of the World Countdown: Why Would a Merciful God Use His Power to Send Fire Upon the Earth?

In the biblical countdown of events leading up to the end of the world, God is often represented as exercising His power to levy punishment and sufferings upon the wicked. But is this the kind of God we read about in the scriptures? Are we to believe that the divine power that was once used for our protection is now to be exercised in the destruction of those who are not in deal with his Maker? If we are to hold this view of God then we have to admit that whether He is not the man He claims to be, or He is often represented in the scriptures as doing all the bad things that He merely permits.

In his second epistle, the apostle Peter thus describes the character of God towards the wicked:

Accordingly, the prophet Ezekiel declared:

It has never been God's intention to hurt any one of us. He has no pleasure in our sufferings. According to the scriptures, hell fire was never intended for us but was "prepared for the Devil and his angels" (Matt. 25:41). Anything happens to the wicked will come as a effect of their solidarity with Satan in their sinful practices. There are so many things that God can do to bring an end to this world's ills, and the destruction of the wicked is just one method. In His infinite wisdom, God must have considered this to be the most thorough means of punishment.

It is quite tasteless for many observers, in their countdown of end-of-the-world events, to suggest that God will use His miraculous power to send fire upon the earth and destroy the wicked. In other words, He will actively retaliate against every one who is not on His side. This view does not only contradict the general Bible teaching about the kind of man God is, but it also ignores the fact that there are many texts that attribute to God disastrous events that He does not interpose to prevent. Here are some examples:

1. God is represented as the One who killed King Saul (1Chron. 10:13, 14), but the fact of the story is that Saul was the one who fell on his own sword (1Sam. 31:4).

2. God is represented as sending strong delusions in the last days to deceive the wicked, but it will certainly be the work of Satan who will work with "all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness" (2Thess. 2:8, 9).

3. God is said to be the one who attempt to destroy Job (Job 2:3), but it was, in fact, Satan who tried to kill him (Job 1:9-12).

4. It is said that God is the One who send the fire that destroyed Job's sheep (Job 1:16), but from the story it was the work of Satan (Job 1:9-12).

5. The Bible said that God "moved" David to whole the habitancy in Israel (2Sam. 24:1), but it was in fact Satan who caused him to do it (1Chron. 21:1).

Attributing the work of Satan to God is clearly a manner of speaking governed by the belief that because God is sovereign, He has total control over what He prevents and what He permits. But in some of these cases in the scriptures, there is also the evidence that it was ordinarily believed that natural disasters come from God. As you peruse God's role in end-of-the-world events, you should allow your study to be guided by these different situations. In light of this observation, the positive demand is, what will then happen at the Second Coming?

In my contemplation of God's role in the prophetic countdown of events relating to the end of the world, I find the story of Gideon in the book of Judges very instructive. It was about how God uses three hundred men to defeat thousands of warriors of Midian. In this so-called war all that Gideon army did was to blow a trumpet, break a pitcher, and shout, "the sword of the Lord, and of Gideon" and cause the vast army of Midian to kill one another. You can read this story in Judges 7.

Interestingly, that seem to be a similar scenario to what is chronicled in the book of Zechariah. In his countdown of end-of-the-world events, the prophet Zechariah declares:

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour." Zech. 14:13

With the present amassing of nuclear weaponry as a major part of making ready for war, it is not difficult to believe that man will one day destroy themselves. Considering the fact that nuclear energy, in the quantity in which it is now available, is capable of destroying this world 30 times over, could it be that the world will end in a conflagration on inventory of the wicked turning against each other?

As we effect the countdown of end of the world events, and the many warnings about how the Lord will destroy the wicked, you need to consider the curses that sin has brought upon the world. The entrance of sin is weighed with eternal consequences which our merciful God has been restraining for thousands of years in general because His dear Son, from the beginning, has pledged to take our place (Rev. 13:8; St. Jn 1:29). Those who refuse this provision will finally suffer the natural consequences and perish, while those who accept the Lamb of God as their Substitute will have everlasting life (St. Jn 3:16).

God does not warn us about a judgment because He is planning to kill all those who are not with Him. Every word of exhortation to turn from our sins is an attempt to shield us from the natural results of pursuing a life of transgression. The final consequences of sin will be seen in the ultimate wickedness of men towards his fellowmen at Christ's return.

The effects of the Fukishima disaster will prevail for decades if not centuries if they do not entomb the reactors now.

German Solar Power - Nuclear Alternative?

German solar power is rapidly growing, capturing an expanding share of Germany's electrical needs. Cloudy Germany is the world leader in photovoltaic panel production and installation. Deutsche Welle estimates 26 German coal-fired power plants are under building or in planning. expanding ferrous fuel capacity flies in the face of European Union and German goals to sell out carbon output. More gas and oil power generation is an option, but these fuels places Germany more dependent on Russia. After over a half century of tension no one is comfortable with Moscow's hand on the faucet.

There are no easy choices for Germany. They must simultaneously juggle a desire to grow; a passion to sell out carbon output; and the priority of keeping their citizens safe. We only hope the sun shines on these decisions, and Germany's solar power panels.

But instead of becoming the multi-day destination for wealthy executives from New York, Philadelphia, and Dc that Mr. Trump and others were anticipating, it became a somewhat seedy mecca with lots of retired bus trippers. Atlantic City was eclipsed by a much more remote destination in desert of Nevada.

But now, in the midst of a financial urgency and stiff gambling competition from Pennsylvania and now Delaware, Ac is development a comeback. A comeback that begins with the chance of the .5 billion Revel Casino and is slated to be followed by any more mega-casinos that will bring Atlantic City to the overnight destination status once envisioned by its earliest pioneers.

However, in late 2008 a credit crunch put a halt to the project and the hopes for Atlantic City revitalization seemed less likely than beating the guy who built hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place. So where does Revel Entertainment turn when they are out of money and they already have about a billion dollars sunk into the shell of a hotel and casino with no get out of jail free card? Where else, but the Chinese government. The get out of jail free card ultimately surfaced, and hopefully the bank error card is not about to rear its head.

Evidently, Revel Entertainment has entered into a .7 billion deal with China State construction Engineering Corp. And Tishman construction to discontinue out the mega-project intended to resurrect Ac from the ranks of gambling town wash-ups.

The chief menagerial of Revel said, "This is not about financing...It's about a construction supervision agreement." It's not about financing? C'mon.

Apparently seeking international speculation partners is becoming more of the norm for casino owner since Mgm Mirage has had a partnership with the Dubai government to co-finance the billion CityCenter casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip.

I suppose China feels that the cheaper in the Us will have passed Go a combine of times by 2011 to certify such a monstrosity of excess. However, I doubt they'll be paying many convert orders until then.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Alternative energy

It is needful that we find affordable and workable sources of alternative energy before the world fully consumes the already petite stock of fossil fuels. Many countries have started to introduce renewable energy schemes and more still have invested money into researching and even producing different sources of alternative energy. While it is needful that we come to be less reliant or not reliant at all on fossil fuels, many forms of alternative energy have their disadvantages as well as their obvious advantages. It has to be said though, that the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages in many cases.

Wind Energy.

Harnessing the power of the wind and using it to our ends is hardly a new idea. Windmills have been and still are used for many different purposes and have been for a great many years, but the revising of turbines combined with the improved technology to turn the motion of turbine blades into an energy source has seen the use of turbines explode.

Wind power is very popular, but in order to provide a cheap estimate of power it may prove needful to have large amounts of turbines. On windy days, and even not so windy days some turbines make a noise that many residents reconsider to be unbearable. Areas of open countryside are protected by conservation orders, which means they can't be built there whether and if there is no conservation order there are still protestors willing to do roughly whatever to stop the turbines being built. The only viable selection left is to use offshore wind farms and these are being investigated, developed and planned all around the world but it takes too many turbines to create a cheap estimate of power and at last they will have to be built inland; a matter that will be contested wherever the wind farms are proposed to be built.

Solar Energy.

Solar energy is probably the most coarse form of alternative powers for daily habitancy and you can see solar lights ad other solar accessories in many gardens. Governments are beginning to offer grants to help in paying for photovoltaic roof tiles; these tiles are truly fitted onto your roof and obtain the heat from the sun. This heat can whether be used to heat water or can even be converted into electricity. The advantage for the buyer is that by together with a grid tie law you can truly sell unused electricity back to the grid. Photovoltaic tiles take the place of lowly roof tiles and can be perfectly blended to fit the look of the exterior of your house. With solar energy you too can help the environment.

Biomass.

Because the political environment can be volatile and unpredictable, decisions made during one administration may be overruled or changed during a subsequent administration.

Flying Wind Generators Power the Planet?

A lot has been said about our wind generators' power over the past few years. Initially view of as the riposte to the worlds energy crisis, we soon realized how many turbines, and the vast whole of space that would easily be needed to power the world.

People are already up in arms about wind turbines ruining scenic landscapes, and environmentalists are worried about birds getting caught up in the blades. But what if there was a solution?  An idea so revolutionary that it is hard to imagine...

Nuclear Power

It appears there is. Time magazine even named it one of the best inventions of 2008. It's called the "Flying galvanic Generator".

So what is it?

The Feg is a type of "rotorcraft" that hovers above the ground and generates power from strong high altitude winds.  But what's spectacular, about it is that it is lifted by the wind. To keep it from flying off, it is tethered to the ground, from which the galvanic current is sent back down to earth.

As the Feg lifts higher, it reaches stronger winds, which enable it to produce more power.   In fact, it has been said that these high altitude winds or jet streams are so strong that using just 1% of them could power the entire planet.

And when will it come to be operational?

So far the only demonstration of an operating Feg was done in Australia, where they used electricity to get it off the ground.  The experiment was very successful, showing that even in light winds close to the ground, the Feg hovered there perfectly.

Next they plan to test a larger rotorcraft at 240kW tethered at up to 15,000ft. And then they will scale up even added to Feg's with four rotors, capable of producing ten to forty megawatts of power - which is far more than the current highest wind turbine capacity of five megawatts.

People have had there doubts about how lightning or turbulence at high altitudes could sway the Feg.  For lightning, a warning theory is in place where the Feg is then simply brought down to earth.  The turbulence is not such a qoute since the rotorcraft acts very much like a kite, and will simply determine back to how it was after a big gust of wind. And a Gps and gyroscope composition will be used to operate its pitch and roll.

So, how much power output is possible?

According to the San Diego based company, Sky WindPower Corporation, an array of 600 Feg's rated at 20Mw, and operating over a ground space of 200 quadrate miles could produce over three times as many megawatt hours per year as the 28,572,902Mwh produced by the Palos Verde Arizona nuclear plant in 2003.

And just 43 of these Feg arrays operating at 85% capacity could produce up to 3,883,185,000Mwh of power - that's the total power consumption of the U.S. In 2003.

And how much will this power cost us?

According to a rigorous study made by Sky WindPower Corp, in the long range the cost of an Feg of ten megawatt capacity would be less than 2 cents per kilowatt hour (including land use costs).  This is less than the energy costs of fossil fuels. But obviously site choice and nearnessy to existing power lines are very foremost factors.

What's next?

Since the Feg's are still in the testing phase, we are not quite sure how long it will take before we see any hovering in the distance. But one thing is for sure is that if all goes to plan, we may see airborne wind generators power the planet.

You see many feel that since Iran sponsors International Terrorism Organizations that they will give these nuclear weapons and atomic bombs to them to use on civilian populations. In fact they have already stated their intentions to do so if any one interferes with their production of these weapons and have promised to; Blow Israel off the Map!

Some non-violent folks have suggested sanctions against Iran, but Russia and The Great Empire of China have hesitated to sanction talks at the Un probably because they want Iran to buy more high-tech weapons. Too bad for Iran all these weapons have high-tech satellite Rfid Tags in side the actual structures of the weapons? Whoops? You think Russia and China are stupid? No way. They put them there in case Iran turned on them later as Iran is one to do change sides a lot too.

Syria is the wild card with Uae, Saudis with real estate investments in country. They have pull too with Us as allies and buyers of American Corporate products, all from weapons systems, communication and technology stuff, even franchise businesses. Engaging chess game. We need to take a no ifs ands or buts good look at the negotiation process and make a strategic decision to make determined we eliminate any possibility of the current Iranian Regime in getting nuclear weapons for the on-going safety of civilian populations. Reconsider all this in 2006.

One of our sometimes overlooked renewable energy sources is hydroelectric or the use of water to produce electricity. The basic concept of hydroelectric energy can best be impart as using water flow to turn a turbine, and this turning action produces electricity. It is a slight more involved than that but it plainly can be put as the energy of flowing water converting to mechanical energy, mechanical energy to electrical energy. Here are some entertaining facts about this renewable energy source.

About 20% of the world's electricity is produced by hydroelectric- One entertaining fact that I found is that only 20% of the world's total electricity is produced by hydroelectric generation, which accounts for 88% of all renewable sources. Important the way today are coal, nuclear, and natural gas power plants. Advantages- The one major factor for using water as an energy source is economics. There is no fuel cost associated with this type of power plant, which is a major advantage over the others. As continued fuel cost rise, hydroelectric operation cost are minimal. The life of a hydroelectric power plant is still to be determined since many plants are 100 years old and still operating. Most modern-day plants are almost totally automated requiring less personal to claim them. A combine other advantages are no Co2 emissions, because there is no burning of fuels, and they become great recreational areas for boaters and families. Disadvantages- It has been proven that dams cause both downstream and upstream ecosystem changes caused by water flow. The damage can be allinclusive depending on the size and flow of the power plant system. The generation process does convert downstream river beds and have been known to cause flooding and destruction of land. allinclusive studies are ongoing for best originate and less ecosystem result downstream. Flow of water shortage can occur when power quiz, is high and the river drops to levels were generation must cease. This is one area that is also being studied along with best damn design. Compared to other renewable energy sources- If you were to correlate hydroelectric power generation to wind energy generation, you will find that the use of water is much more predictable than the use of wind farms. It is easier to regulate the power distribution based on rain fall and the availability of water.

As you can see hydroelectric is a very unused resource compared to other types of power producing means, but needs additional studies and best designs against eco damage. However, being a renewable energy source, it without fail has its advantages over nuclear, fossil fuel, and natural gas electrical power plants.
