2012 Doomsday Survival Sanctuaries in North America

There are 9 possible 2012 disaster scenarios incredible by the Sumerian Nibiru Prophecy, Nostradamus's Doomsday Prophecy and others. The challenge is to find a sanctuary to be with your house when it all gets ugly. Fortunately the Usa is blessed with an massive land area, much of it in high elevations, so finding a remote safe place with the critical topography is possible if you know where to look. Taking a look at the 'Lights of the Us' on the website darksky.org will show you very clearly where the major citizen concentrations are by the lights at night, and where the empty spaces are too. That's where you'll find your 2012 survival sanctuary.

Here are the best 2012 survival sanctuaries in the continental Us in alphabetical order, not order of preference.

Nuclear Weapons

The Appalachian Mountains

This area is a good candidate for its immensely thick and solid granite core. While they are not exactly what you'd call remote. They cover a big sufficient area and are sufficiently rugged for you to be able to get some withdrawal for your house Safe House. The downside is that a lot of other 2012 Survivalists know about the Appalachians too, so finding your own private survival sanctuary with be trickier and possibly quite expensive. If you can, you'd be a lot great off tantalizing right away from the heavy citizen concentration on the Eastern third of the continental Usa and finding for your 2012 survival sanctuary to the west of the Missouri River. So now let's take a look at the other areas worth additional investigation.

Northern Arizona

The Colorado Plateau is very high at 5-8,000 feet, and a 200 + miles from Phoenix where most of the citizen in the State is concentrated. The main thing is look out for here is that you have an aquifer on your land, so you can draw your water from underground.

Land ranges from 0 to 0 per acre for midpoint grade and goes up to - K in very high ability areas, which have all in the 2012 survival sanctuary wish-list.

Arkansas

North Central Arkansas is high sufficient to be safe, has low citizen and a good growing season. The cost of living is lower than midpoint and land is cheap at 0 - 00 per acre, and it seems like you can build pretty much what you want without needing a permit.

Colorado

Parts of this state are Ok if you can get far sufficient from other people, also it can get highly cold.

Idaho

Idaho is as close to perfect as it gets. There are massive areas of forest, great hunting and fishing, and a good growing season in lower areas of the state, but it can get very cold at high elevations. Property isn't expensive.

Montana

At lower elevations west of the Great Divide there are some promising places your family's 2102 survival sanctuary. citizen is low, but the growing season is short, there's not much crop diversity and it's cold in winter. Areas nearby Flathead Lake, Eureka and Kalispell are worth a look.

Oregon

The interior of Oregon looks like a survival paradise until you think how close it is to the teaming millions living in California. The climate is mild and the growing season long. Eastern Oregon could still be worth considering, if you can find a place that is either very hard to find from the road, or very easy to defend.

South Dakota

The South-West part of the state has good groundwater from the Ogala Aquifer, very low citizen and microclimates can give a great growing season. The topography also lets you find a well concealed hiding-hole with a good view of unwelcome guests.

Texas

Texas is so big that there are plentifulness of remote rural areas where you can get out of sight. In the hill country the climate is mild and the growing season is long. The downside is that most of the locals are armed to the teeth and don't take amiable to strangers.

Washington

A lot like Oregon, it has a mild climate and good growing season, and areas where citizen density is low. There is the California factor too though, but wide without fail worth considering.

Wyoming

Hard winters, but very low population. Wyoming could be a good choice if you can afford to build a very well qualified sanctuary with safety from ultimate cold and plentifulness of storage. Remember that a winter resulting from a nuclear war or space object impact could last five years.

This list no ifs ands or buts gives you a few options to select from. However for most of us the final choice will be dictated by cost - meaning we need to look for 2012 survival sanctuaries near to where we live. However if you're properly ready you can feel definite and collect even in less remote locations. I'm reminded of the hit song from the 80's with the chorus line 'You great stay away from Copperhead Road.'

Safe Places in 2012 - Where Will it Be Safe to Live If 2012 Doomsday Happens?

With the publish of the new movie the idea of a 2012 doomsday is becoming more & more legitimate in many peoples minds. Find out today what the safe places in 2012 will be and where you should be living in 2012 if authentically the predictions come true! First though lets look at where you don't want to be!

Avoiding the Apocalypse!

Nuclear Reactor

It's no surprise that when the idea of doomsday comes up the first thing most habitancy think about are where the safe places to hide will be. The unfortunate truth is that no one can say for sure, however there is some data nearby that gives us the best evaluation of where you will not want to be.

Usa/Canada: Unfortunately there is a great deal of conflicting data concerning this area of the world. Edgar Cayce did suggest Virginia as being a safe haven, however a great deal of data now suggests should a polar shift occur north America will come to be the new north pole! With even Florida sitting on the cusp of the new arctic circle. Not to mention the super-volcano sitting under Yellowstone which would likely go off and destroy a majority of the continent, and make the air un-breathable.

If this wasn't bad enough the whole of nuclear power plants that will like melt down will be remarkable and generate a total nuclear Armageddon! Again Usa & Canada have a great deal of these power plants and this again creates another intuit not to stick nearby here.

Europe: Even worse than Usa/Canada is the whole of nuclear power plants in Europe. Should catastrophic natural disasters occur this is in fact the worst place in the world to be!

Australia: Unfortunately the 2km high tidal waves will wipe out the majority of the habitancy (as the majority live on the covering of the continent). Inland is questionable at this point. In expanding to which it's believed that if a pole shift happens Australia will be the new south pole as well!

Safe Places:

It's believed that mountains will be the only safe places should 2012 doomsday occur. With all the possibilities it's impossible to say where for sure, but with the above 3 out it's believed that expansive areas of Africa, particularly nearby Morocco and the highlands of Ethiopia will have the best chances. Highlands would be safe if it were not for the nuclear fallout which would likely occur, the same goes for various other expansive regions of Europe. Mountains in China that are inland and far enough away from any nuclear reactors would also be great than most other places.

Countdown to Midnight - The Doomsday Clock

Ever since 1947, a clock has been counting down the minutes until the end to humans. It is for real one of the most unique clocks around. Although the Doomsday Clock isn't for real a functionally working clock, it is a real measuring device and is watched by many citizen waiting for its infrequent movements.

The Doomsday Clock is the creation of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, and its purpose is to furnish a part of the vulnerability of humans from various threats. These threats, according to the Bulletin mentioned above, are in general the nuclear weapons in the world, climate change, and emerging technologies in the life sciences. Although the latter two threats are often talked about in the media, it is the first threat, nuclear weapons, that has caused the Doomsday Clock to move the most in the past.

Nuclear Weapons

How the Clock Works

Basically, the Bulletin's board of directors meets periodically to discuss the various threats to the world. They reconsider the nuclear developments and ambitions of countries nearby the world, and decide to move toward or away from midnight. Since its creation in 1947, the clock has been moved eighteen times, with the last movement occurring in 2007. In the sixty-two years of its existence, the clock has moved back and forth, but is now only two minutes away from when it started.

Over the years, the clock moved back and forth, with 2 minutes to midnight the most hazardous time (during the height of the cold war), and 17 minutes away the safest (the fall of the Berlin Wall, and an arms allowance treaty between the Usa and the Ussr). The last time the clock moved however, from seven minutes to five minutes, a distinct threat entered into the equation. This time, the effects of climate change contributed to its movement, which was from 7 minutes to 5.

Although climate change is gaining momentum as a serious threat to mankind, it still does not for real collate to nuclear weapons. A large part of the infer for the tick-down to 11:55 was nuclear activity by North Korea and Iran. There are over 27,000 nuclear weapons in the world at the time of this writing, and of these, 2,000 of them can be launched within minutes. Obviously, this threat is more ominous than that of an earth-destroying force of nature. This is one clock that citizen should keep a closer eye on. In fact, most citizen have never even heard of it. Five minutes to the end of time seems precariously close, and certainly warrants close attention.
