Did you know that the Chinese have secret underwater submarine bases? It's true, and you know where they got the idea from; no, they didn't get it from the "Aliens" that all the conspiracy theorists and Ufo'ologists talk about. Rather, they copied it from the Russians. It has long been known while the Cold War that the Russians had secret secret bases inside of mountains to house their nuclear submarines.
Why did they do this you ask?
Nuclear Weapons
It's very simple, they did it because they were afraid that there would be a nuclear exchange, in which the United States of America would bomb those locations, and they wanted to protect their nuclear charge submarines by hiding them inside of a mountain caves. Today, underwater submarine bases that are near the surface of the water, or under a mountain probably won't work.
This is because today's forces weapons are much too powerful, and they can take down or take out an whole mountain. The United States of America has any weapons, one being the; mother of All Bombs. an additional one one being the super bunker buster radar guided munitions. Even though, the Chinese today have a network of top secret submarine bases, and secret Red Army forces facilities, the United States and other nations know where they are, and they are no way off-limits to today's weaponry.
Some of these bases that the Chinese have are not exactly secret, and you can quest and find pictures from Google Earth of the Jianggezhuang secret submarine base for instance. Now then, obviously if I'm writing about this in an online article, it well is not secret anymore.
When Mao was chairman of China he started construction these underwater submarine bases. Although he did not live to see all of them completed, he is basically the one that started it, and he copied those ideas from the Russians. Please reconsider all this.

Rinspeed's first underwater Car Video Clips. Duration : 5.30 Mins.
Rinspeed will present its new sQuba, the worlds first diving car, at the Geneva Motor Show (March 6-16). The car is not only able to drive on roads autonomously with a push of a button (thus without a driver, passenger or further assistance), but can also transform into an amphibious vehicle which can be submerged in water up to 10 meters (33 feet). An electric motor with powerful torque drives the rear wheels, while the propulsion on the water is ensured by two propellers in the stern and two powerful jet drives in the bow propelling the vehicle under water while diving. When underwater, the driver and passenger are enclosed in the vehicle thanks to light weight body components made of futuristic Carbon Nano Tubes and are supplied with fresh breathing air by the self-contained on-board system.
Operation Wigwam - Underwater Nuclear Test Film (1955) Video Clips. Duration : 37.05 Mins.
Courtesy: US Department of Energy 0800018 - Operation Wigwam, Commander's Report - 1955 - 35:45 - Color - The US Navy, envisioning a war in which atomic depth charges would be used, wanted to learn how much of a nuclear blast a well-built submarine could take. The submarine Skate had not withstood the BAKER explosion of Operation Crossroads. At a location listed as "N 29 degrees, W 126 degrees," about 500 miles southwest of San Diego, a deep underwater, weapons effects nuclear test, WIGWAM, rumbled through the ocean. A model submarine experiment submerged beneath a floating barge vanished after the 30-kiloton burst of power from Operation Wigwam on May 14, 1955. A combination of high winds and rough seas prevented recovery of much of the test data. Approximately 6500 personnel took part in this operation. B-7 (Mk-90) Betty
